Realtor Provides Added Service to Clients and Community - Erik Kelly and his “Moving Billboard"
One area Realtor has taken a unique approach to advertising, while finding a “win-win” solution for filling an important role in the area. Erik Kelly, an agent partner of Keller Williams Realty Ahwatukee Foothills developed the concept of “The Moving
Billboard” early last year while evaluating different ways to promote his brand in Ahwatukee and surrounding locales. “This idea won out,” states Kelly “because it served a need of ours while enabling us to give something back to the community.”
Kelly’s “Moving Billboard” is actually a traditional white moving truck, emblazoned with his image and logo. The truck also features the logos of some area sponsors, who help to support the project. It includes the retractable ramp, roll-up door, appliance dolly and a few moving blankets, too. But it’s the manner in which the truck is utilized that makes it so special.
The primary use of the vehicle is by charitable and community organizations who have a need for a function or fundraiser of some sort. The truck has benefited many worthy causes in the area, including: Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the US Marines Toys for Tots program, Desert Vista High School, Ahwatukee Cardinals Baseball Club and Sisters of Courage to name a few. Kelly provides the truck free of charge to such organizations.

Clients of Kelly’s “EK SELLS” Team can also use the truck for free, and often do so when moving, updating their homes or for their own involvement in charitable causes. The truck is available for rent on days when it is not reserved for other purposes. “The community projects come first, though,” Kelly is quick to reiterate, reminding us of the vehicle’s intended purpose.
“We certainly hope the truck will help to reinforce our brand and theme of ‘Erik Kelly – Your HouseSOLD Name’ in the community,” adds Kelly. “But more than that, we hope people will recognize that we are involved locally and how much
we care about the community in which we live.”
